5th Cut - Humanoid

This is our 5th cut which is close to final, and we did a number of changes to this clip from the previous cut.

Changes we've made:
  1. We trimmed more of the first shot when Michael put the books in his bag.
  2. Shift the title names a little further, and re arrange the title - so now it's in a correct order.
  3. Replaced the radio man voice over.
  4. Adjusted the music, and other sounds to make it more clear to hear through out the clip.
  5. Speed up some shots in the house to make it faster, especially when Michael putting his jacket on; the original shot was too slow and we had to sped it up.
  6. Stretched the music a little longer, so it stops when the two characters take their headphones off.
  7. Added a non-diegetic 'suspense' sound to the scene where they started to walk through the gate.
  8. Adjusted the diegetic foot steps sound after they walked through the gate.
  9. Replaced the 'reaction shot' - the last scene.
  10. Changed the text at the end from 'Two weeks earlier' to 'Directed By'.

The feedback we got from this cut is great, it's fantastic, and this could be our final cut. However, we have come up with a plan to add new scene to this sequence. It is to replaced some of the house scene and the tunnel scene since we are still not satisfied with it, because it doesn't look right. All in all, it looks great as it is.

"Hey I am Simon and I am being part of the primary audience for the film ‘HUMANOID’. I am a male and I am 17, currently studying my A Levels which would mean that I’m in the demographic group D/E. As I am a male; I am more likely to watch a Sci-Fi film than a girl. Also, I, as a teenager, like to relate my life to a film which is why I also watch ‘Coming of Age’ films. This is why I am interested in films like ‘HUMANOID’, because of its genre and it has got a male protagonist that I can relate to; I can relate to the protagonist’s life as it is almost the same like mine, and when he go hangout with his friend - because I do hangout with my friends as well – is also relatable. But I’d like to imagine myself to be the protagonist as, in real life, the chances of me finding a clone are nil. So that is sometimes what I do when or after watching a film. The music that it’s got is also nice, it’s upbeat, which is the sort of music I listen to, and it could also indicate that the characters would go on an adventure – which make it more interesting."
